RULES

Entry should contain a maximum of 3,000 words.

Entries must be in the English Language.

An entry fee of €20 must be included with each individual entry.
See note below for payment methods.

Entries may have been previously published or broadcast but must not have won any award, in any competition, prior to the closing date for entries, December 12th 2008.

Entries should not contain any indication of the writers identity on the competition entry; please use the official form that can be downloaded from this website.

Entries must be typed, using double spacing and submitted in duplicate.

An unlimited number of entries can be submitted for this competition provided the requisite entry fee accompanies each entry.

Entries will not be returned.

Awards will only be made where a satisfactory standard is achieved.

No correspondence will be entered into regarding entries.

The adjudicator’s decision will be final.

Winners and runners-up only, will be notified.
-
The 6 finalists will be notified by post / e-mail on or before March 31st, 2009.

The winner’s prize will be presented at a ceremony in Mitchelstown, on Saturday, 3rd May 2009.

The names of the winner and runners-up will be posted to the competition website when they become available.
